Welcome

Welcome to our journaling blog. You will be writing in this weekly. Before you begin, remember that the you are in a sense posting to the world. Do not use your full name on a blog or share personal information that you do not the whole world to know. Our blog can be accessed by anyone and your family is encouraged to visit it often to see what you are writing about. If there is something you would rather not have shared here, but really want to write or reflect about, please send it to me directly in an e-mail.

Let's warm up by describing your favorite relative or friend. Be as descriptive as you can about your family member or friend, so that the reader can see the qualities. If you physically describe someone, it might be helpful to start from the top of the head and work your way down. For example, my dad used to say that he had the perfect landing pad for insects on the top of his head. Devoid of hair and almost as flat as a pancake, insects could land at will. His head looked like a penny that had just been polished, so the shine functioned like runway lights do for airplanes, signaling and defining the landing space.

  1. My uncle is skinny as a rail. I'd assume he looks very similar to how he did in his high school days of running track, only with a few more gray hairs (the effect of 3 young children in the house). His light brown hair and beard are a bit scraggly, but I do enjoy that he has a smile on his face nearly all the time.
